Town of NIN
Nin is the oldest Croatian royal town located partly on a small island (500m2) which is connected to the mainland by two bridges and partly on the mainland. It is only 15 km away from the city of Zadar, which is a major tourist center. Only about 1,500 people live in Nin. It lies in a unique shallow lagoon. The largest healing mud deposits in the country are also exceptional.
Beaches
The advantage of the location of our apartment houses is that you have a variety of beaches relatively close. If you want a change, just get in the car and in a few minutes you are on a completely different beach.
The nearest and most popular beach "Kraljičina Plaža", or Royal Beach, also called the lagoon is only 450m from Villa Karpatia *** and 350m from Mare Nostrum apartments ***. The extremely gradual sandy entrance to the sea creates ideal conditions for small children and offers unlimited entertainment opportunities for small architects. Lagoon in Nin often appears in the rankings of the most beautiful beaches in Croatia, whether for its fine sand, clear sea, shallows or for a unique view combining the sea view with the Velebity Mountains in the background . On the beach there is a sanitary facilities (shower, toilet), beach bars with a wide range of drinks and also a fast food stall offering burgers, hoddogs, etc. For a fee you can rent a straw sunshade with two deck chairs, a bicycle boat, try kiteboarding or have fun on a big inflatable jumping track on the sea. The famous healing mud "peloiid" known since Roman times, is also an attraction for tourists in the Royal Lagoon. Tourists are looking for it either to treat skin or health problems as well as a fun attraction. Who hasn't been at least once painted with mud from head to toe, like he was not in Nin.
For swimmers and guests who prefer a steeper entry into the sea or jumping from the pier, we have in 2 km distance sandy beach "by the chimney". There is also a beach bar with a wide range of drinks. Around our locagtion there are also classic "forgotten" beaches which do not offer services, but you will enjoy absolute calm and quiet.
For guests interested in the beach with many attractions and services we recommend visiting Zaton, 2 km away. It also has a sandy beach like in Nin but it is significantly more commercial. For those who want to taste the pebble beach with crystal clear water we recommend visiting the island of Vir or the town of Petrčane, both about 6 km from Nin.
Thanks to the diversity of this coast each of our guests will surely find their favorite place where they will put a blanket or rent a sunshade with loungers and relax undisturbed.
